Youth ages 10-14 are invited to an exciting two-hour event in partnership with Jodi Freeman, owner of DreamCatchers, an equine business dedicated to improving well-being through interactions with horses.

Event highlights

Overview and Introduction - 5 p.m.

Welcome attendees, event overview, discussion to inspire curiosity and good questions for Jodi. Kids will learn what to expect during the event and how they can make the most of this unique experience.

Explore the World of Horses - 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Dive into the fascinating world of horses! Kids will get an up-close with a majestic horse. Learn about the unique qualities of horses and how they enhance human well-being. Talk about horse attributes and behaviors, interacting with horses safely, care and handling, and the benefits of equine activities. Owner Jodi Freeman will share her love of horses and passion that led her to create DreamCatchers.

Reflection and Takeaways - 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Wrap up with a reflection session, kids will share their experiences, learn together, and take home valuable resources to continue their journey of discovery and growth.

Families are welcome to stay afterward to attend the free Maverick Rodeo - Barrel Race over in the TractorHouse Pavillion! Starting at 7 p.m.
